Development & integration
What is SPFx?
SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is Microsoft’s development framework for building components in SharePoint, Teams and Viva. It lets you deliver custom features that respect the platform’s security and ergonomics.
Should I build or stay with the standard?
Staying with the standard is almost always cheaper to maintain. We recommend custom development only when standard functionality cannot adequately meet an established requirement, with the trade-offs explained during scoping. See Power Platform.
Who owns the code?
The terms are set out contractually before the start. The goal is that you can maintain and evolve what has been delivered.
Can you take over an existing development?
Yes, after a code and architecture review that identifies the risks, the technical debt and the correction priorities.
Do you work with our development teams?
Yes: as embedded reinforcement, as reviewer or by building a clearly bounded component, with your code management and delivery practices.
